Description
Now, before you think I'm all dirty and perverted, I'm just letting you know that as of submitting this I haven't drawn the pants yet. Shoo, dirty-minded demons!
Anyways, out of the blue I felt like drawing (I've been in a bad slump recently), and decided to do a new pic of my pretty eagle-girl OC, Sonora. I'm excited that I'm continuing to improve in anatomy, and for the first time in forever I'm truly proud of my art.
Please, if you fav, pleasepleaseplease tell me (honestly) what you think! I improve at a faster rate when I get feedback :3
This was two images scanned together and spliced on SumoPaint, with color added for aesthetic effect. Sketches were done with mechanical pencil.

This is awesome. I remember when I first saw your art and comparing then to now, you've improved a heck of a lot. I want to give you an internet hug just to congratulate you for that! *hug*
The one thing I'd recommend is smoothing out the lineart a bit, although you said this was a WIP, so yeah..
The things I really do like is the facial proportions, making it with a manga flair and still making the character design work. The eyes, the beak, and especially the feather shading on the face is really well done.
The anatomy is good too, body-wise. One thing I'm wondering is if you're going for a human shape, or human based with some animal characteristics. If you're staying with just a human body shape, I can give you more help with that.
But overall, you've come far, most definitely, and I'm proud to say I've watched it happen.
